Freelance writing

One effective way to make money from home, or online is to become a freelance writer. Now, obviously you must have a decent grasp of the English language to consider this option; however, you DO NOT need to be a literary genius. Unlike most industries in these harsh economic times, freelance writing is booming.

THERE ARE FAR MORE FREELANCE WRITING JOBS OUT THERE THAN FREELANCE WRITERS.

The best place to start is by signing up for an online job bidding service like Odesk. Don't be put off by that phrase 'online bidding'. You do not have to pay any fee at all. A site like Odesk operates by allowing employers to post advertisements for jobs. You, the employee, can then contact the employer and 'bid' for the job by telling them how much you are willing to do the job for.

Odesk provides a feedback system where employers can rate employees on the work they have provided and vice versa. This is a great system as it allows you to see which employers are easy to work with, and allows any prospective employers to see the quality of your work.

I'll be doing some more articles on freelance writing, but for now there are two websites which will help you get to grips with everything you need.

Go and set a profile up at http://www.odesk.com it does take about an hour to do, but remember the 3 truths to success, hard work is everything! Also go and check out http://www.freelancewriting.com where you will find all of the information you need to get started as a freelance writer.

My first tip for Odesk is to start with a small job just to get a good feedback rating. The higher the rating you achieve, the better chance you have of getting those higher paid jobs!

Please feel free to comment and ask any questions :)
